Pumpkin Fun @ the Mountain

Today was a beautiful day, the kids were out of school, Hubby was off work and we had free tickets to one of our favorite places!  Hubby had a quick doctors appointment and then we were off to have some pumpkin fun at the Mountain!  It was cool in the morning, but was 80 again by this afternoon.  We took advantage of the cool weather, packed a picnic lunch and headed out early.  The kids were SO excited...I think they love fall as much as we do! (For those of you who are interested...here is a look back at another fall pumpkin day at the mountain...I can't believe how little he looks!)

I picked out a couple of pumpkins to take home...

They were just sitting there on the shelf, all alone...boy am I glad we came along.
he he he..."mommy is so silly"
#1 on the "to do" was sky hike. (Well, I think it is called something else for the little kids, but Brother remembers it as sky hike.)  It is his new favorite at the park, but it gets really busy, so we went there 1st.  (I have no idea what the blog did, but the pictures are all out of order! Sorry! You get the idea :)

The zip line is always their favorite.  They both did a great job of holding on tight this trip!
After Sky Hike we headed to play a little putt-putt while we waited on the train to get there.  Both kids love the train and putt-putt is an easy activity to entertain while we wait.

Choo Choo Time!   I have no idea why the kids love riding for 20 minutes in a circle, but I won't complain.  I love riding the train, listening to the music and at Christmas it is my favorite thing to do.  We saw them setting up the lights today and getting ready.  I am sure it will be here before we know it!

These are probably my favorite pictures of the day... they capture their "true" self!

 Um, yep...that is my kid.
This new camera and I are definitely becoming close...thank you camera, I LOVE you!
Hubby! (He was there too :)

Sister decided to pretend she was asleep...
than she got tickled...
After the train ride we ate our picnic lunch we brought (PB & J...yum!) and then headed over to the kids pumpkin area to do some fun activities and pick up our "scavenger hunt" to get a treat.  We had fun looking for all the silly scarecrows all over the park to answer our clues.
Once the kids (& I) finished them we got to turn our sheet in for a prize.  The kids got some candy to munch on...skittles for Sister and M&Ms for Brother :)
We had a little bit of time before our next event (a show we wanted to see), so we headed to the lawn to take a few family pictures. Hubby used the timer and propped the camera on the stroller....he did great for the headache it was giving him :)
 I love this one!
Me and my girl...
 The boys :)

 Sweet kisses...
Then the kids ran away...just kidding. Hubby played tag with them while we wanted for the train to pass.  Thanks BBP for teaching him freeze tag,  I thought I had a few more years :)
Yay for Grandma!  We headed to see our show, which included seeing Grandma!  We watched a pie eating contest (where we left a few minutes early b/c I am SURE the child was about to throw up) and then we watched "Pumpkin Palooza"...loud, but fun :)  They kids had a blast!
The kids wanted to do one "last thing" before we left for the day, so we rode the Sky Lift to the top of the mountain.  It is always a beautiful view and the breeze was nice today too!  We enjoyed a quick snack...popcorn and a slushie and headed back down to head home.
It was a wonderful, memorable, fun-filled family day and I LOVE that we get to do it again tomorrow, cause that's how we roll.
